  • A 90% tax rate on certain earners was indeed legal back in the '50s. If challenged today, however, it would never be deemed constitutional, even under an ultra-liberal court. It's laughable that my fellow liberals cite the Eisenhower tax rates to try to bolster their phoney argument.

  • I am usually right and you are usually wrong .... That statement is one of mental illness, not one of reality. Such a statement without substantiation is needless to say, meaningless. Very sad. That's what gives me pause and causes me to be not so hard here.

  • I have a friend who immigrated here from Czechoslovakia in the mid 1960s. His family was escaping communism. He is somewhat of a "conservative" as an American citizen today. I can understand his rationale, even though I may not agree with him on every single issue.
